Heat resistant

aramid filaments HTF2

The aramid filaments are marked by the highest thermal endurance among the brush filaments of synthetic origin. Except usual filament features like stiffness, solidity they also provide excellent thermal endurance even by long-term exposure to heat source (while wet or dry). In comparison with usual heat resistant materials the HTF2 filaments dispose of excellent processing features and extreme lifespan.

Advantages  of the heat-proof aramid filaments HTF2

  • Heat-resistance from -35°C to 270°C (short time up to 300°C)
  • glass transition temperature ca. 270 °C
  • carbonization temperature ca. 430°C
  • good filament features even when exposed to long-term high temperatures (by 250°C about 60% values like by room temperature)
  • excellent form stability ( < 1 % contraction from the room temperature to 250 °C)
  • outstanding abradability and stiffness even by high temperatures
  • excellent chemical resistance against chemical substances
  • incombustibility UL94 V0
  • ideal for the production of the stapled, twisted and glued brushes

Application

Technical brushes intended for

  • transport of hot products (conveyor belts)
  • cleaning of injection moulds
  • deburring of plastic castings
  • perforation of the foil used for food
  • protection against warmth or out-flying shavings while drilling or grinding (laths)
  • fixation of products

We deliver the filaments already from minimal amount 1 kg for an order. If filaments for test purposes are needed, then we can deliver even smaller amount. The filament are packed in a PVC foil in the length of 1,5m and a diameter of about 35mm.
